America's 11 Most Endangered Places for 2003
The National Trust announced America's 11 Most Endangered Places for 2003 on May 29th. Unfortunately, the Woodstock Site has not been selected for this year's list. According to conversations with the NHT, the 11 Most Endangered List does have a regional quota and we are hoping that the Woodstock Site may have been placed on a "highly recommended list" for Endangered Status from which the 11 were chosen.
At this time, it is very premature to assume that not making the list translates into the Site not being endangered.
We will be in close contact with the NTHP over the next several weeks, seeking their comprehensive feedback of our nomination package, their recommendations and support - and then we take it from there. And despite the fact that we were not chosen, there are now many more officials at state and federal levels who, are now, aware of our concerns.
We'll keep you posted.
At this time, circumstances remain unchanged with regards to the Section 106 Review and The National Register of Historic Places.
Your Suggestions, Your Thoughts, Your Ideas
We are appealing to members, supporters, and everyone who is interested in preserving the Woodstock Site. We are asking for suggestions or ideas for any new WPA initiatives that could be addressed. Something that would be workable and possible. Maybe there's something that you've read about, that we might be able to put into action. Maybe you've heard of something that someone else has done, that we might try. Or maybe, there's something that you would do, that hasn't been tried yet. We are very interested to hear from you.

New Website Submissions
We are looking for new submissions to the website, both for the Photo and Folklore areas.
Our Website is in dire need of updated visuals. If everyone out there with any pictures would send them our way…Let's see what we all could put together.
Also personal documentaries, experiences, feelings or stories that you might want to share, we could totally revamp the Folklore area, and at the same time bestow a little "Woodstock Spirit" to those, who otherwise wouldn't know.
Anyone interested, please e-mail us for information.
