**Note:
Upon filing the nomination application,
the property owner and local officials would be notified by SHPO of
the intent to nominate, and public comment would be solicited. The owner
of private property is given an opportunity to agree with, or object to,
the nomination. If the owner of this property objects to the nomination,
the historic property cannot be listed in the National Register.
NY
SHPO's policy states that owners support is required prior to submitting
an application. Pursuing the nomination, regardless of owners support,
would possibly mandate a review and subsequent determination, however the
absence of owner support would preclude the listing.
Our
requests to Alan Gerry for his support were never realized.
